On Monday, I explained how diving in is the best way to learn to code. But maybe you have no idea where to start. Or maybe you know some basics, but are looking to further expand your knowledge. Nowadays there are tons of resources out there to help you learn how to write code. Here are a few:

Lynda is probably one of the most well know resources for learning to code. They have a large library of video tutorials on subjects such as html, php, and more.

Udemy calls themselves an online learning marketplace. They offer 22,000+ courses on a variety of topics, including web design and development.

Another great website for learning web design and development is Treehouse. Lessons include WordPress, mobile apps, and various programming languages.

Skillshare’s mission is to unlock the world’s creativity. As such, there are tons of creative classes available, but there are also a bunch dedicated to html and css as well.

Codecademy offers a bunch of courses on various programming languages. Best of all, it’s free!

  1. I took courses with Udemy and liked that I have life-time access to my courses. I’d prefer that way than paying in monthly subscription. Codecadmy is my favorite resource as well!
